Perchtenrüstung Concept

A full plate armor in the style of 16th century based on the Perchten, probably Austria's most ancient surviving pagan figures. Not to be confused with the Krampus, Perchten follow the ancient goddes Perchta, "the bright one". The tradition is kept alive in the Austrian countryside still.

The idea was to create a semi-realistic concept for what would be a rich aristocratic representation of the tradition. No fur is attached for example - instead is is represented through elaborate carvings.
